Subject: Question

Hello:

I purchased CD collection or Retro Ad Art several years ago.  I have absolutely loved using it over the years (I am quoted on your site as a very satisfied customer).  I have a technical question.  I have a new computer with XP Pro, and when I insert the disc and attempt to start the KUDO application that serves as a "viewer", it never seems to get up and running.

In your documentation, it seems to indicate that this application also "unzips" the images to their full size.  As far as using KUDO as a viewer, or catalog, I don't mind using the book that came with the disc.  However, I am writing to ask if the images I copy from the disc to my hard drive (manually copying and pasting in the absence of KUDO) are smaller than if KUDO was able to get up and running.  I hope that makes sense.

In any event, thanks again for one of the coolest products I have ever run across.

Sincerely,

Gregg Whiteker

Hi Tony,

Sounds kewl to me, thanks. I can't wait to get started!! My only hope is
that our customers and club members like the retro art (and what I do with it) as much as I do... it will be very different for them! I guess time will tell but if they do then I can see us using images and releasing small collections for years to come!

I have to admit to a huge fascination and admiration for what your doing as I love vintage and retro art. I purchased some old items myself a few years back but trying to ascertain who owned the copyright, how many copyrights were vested per item and whether they had expired or not proved so frustrating I gave up! LOL

It's great to find a commercial agency that have acceptance and consideration of us small entrepreneurs! *grin*

I'll be back in contact once I have the CD.

All the best,

Chris

Tony,

Ok that is amazing.  His business model must be all about the hosting fee. I am not sure what to say.

I get bugged alot about not having a site.  When I buckle down and do I will definitly send you a link.  When I need it I do plan on purchasing your sweet CD.  I create a lot of retro graphics myself.  It would save time.

Your site is great and with the retro graphics you are definitly filling a need!

Thanks again,

Serena

Hello Tony.

I must thank you so much for the supreme service, purchasing the Retro Ad Art CD was as close to "instant justice" as one ever can get.
I'm amazed over the blazing fast response!
The CD with the catalog is just a fantastic product, and even though your site has been a great source of inspiration for me over the past 10 years, I truly regret not ordering the CD sooner. So many fantastic images, with such a high quality, rendering vectors is done in seconds, with excellent result.
This CD along with the kickass retro font pack will finally push me into serious retro style print and web design, and the fantastic catalog will be my night time reading source for a very long time. Thank you very much for providing the world with this material, these kinds of old time designs are so great, and really deserves to be put to use in these modern techno age of plastic web 2.0 badges and ajax preloaders. And I will make damn sure that these designs gets noticed through my work in this part of the world. It's just too great to be forgotten.

Thanks again for supreme service and a really great product.

Best regards, Torgil Benigh

That nice.  Cheers.

I am down in Panama City right now.  Panama is sweet and hot.  How's the weather?  How's the skiing?

Nice site, it was a pleasure doing business with you.   Dial me up any time.

Subject: Re: Link page inclusion

Hi Tony, thanks for getting back to me. I've placed you on my site at:
http://www.retroliciousdesigns.com/links.html

If you can link to me at http://www.retroliciousdesigns.com that would be better than direct to the cafepress store. I can't seem to figure out how to add links there and until I can get my programmer to look at it, I think I will keep links on the above page. Also, if you have a web banner or button you'd like to send me, feel free.

Love the ad art. My dad was a commercial artist during the fifties so I have an appreciation for the style. I've started vectorizing some of his work and have it up on Shutterstock for sale. Here's the URL if you'd like to take a look. http://submit.shutterstock.com/?ref=325879

Thanks again, Diana

I would love to use your "lady chef" clip art for a tshirt for buyolympia.com, where I have a few shirts on sale (one up now, two on the way).
would I have to include the image on the actual shirt, or could I add it to the web description or even the sales tag?
Thanks!

Subject: Usage/royalty inquiry for 'HeadHonch'

I am inquiring about the usage/royalty costs of the attached image 'HeadHoncho'.

It would be for a nonfiction book, to be used as a chapter opener icon. The size would be 5p9 (or less than 1 inch) in height. The number of books in the first run would be 5,000.

Cool site, by the way.

I have ordered your CD.  I love your work!

As you can see from below, I am in the Escrow business, and I send out this newsletter weekly.

I was wondering if (1) you have more artwork of houses or real estate-related themes or (2) what it might cost to have some custom made.

Please let me know.

I just wanted to tell you that after stumbling onto your site, I spent half the night looking at your reproductions with great appreciation.  Art Deco has always made a great impression on me; perhaps it's my Lithuanian heritage.

Have you ever considered applying some of these images to T-shirts, or perhaps creating a desk calendar out of them?  You certainly have enough material to draw from!

Best wishes,
Joe
